They call it organic in the USA, Bio in Europe, and a tradition in Georgia. Givi Nikolashvili was the first businessperson to produce bio products in Georgia. Everything started in 1999 when Mr. Nikolashvili bought 6 hectares of land in an area called Tsiplebi on the right embankment of the Alazani River, Gurjaani district. He invited experienced agriculturist Guram Javakhishvili to plan the vineyard and planted one of the oldest species of grapes – Saperavi.
